We use storytelling, expert conversations and community engagement to amplify the voices of seniors, and we advocate for better elder care systems and social protection.

    We run campaigns on elder abuse prevention, dementia awareness and the importance of elder care.

    We organise events, dialogues and outreach programmes that promote inclusion and support for older adults.

    We preserve the stories, lessons and contributions of seniors for future generations through interviews, compendiums and documentaries.

Quarter Past 65 Seniors Connect is the social engagement arm of Quarter Past 65. It brings older adults together in a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment where they can connect, interact and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Host, founder and CEO

Dr. Stella O. Ayamara Dorgu

Educationist, philanthropist and mass communication expert. She founded Quarterpast 65 to restore dignity to Nigeria's elders and to open dialogue between the elderly and the younger generation.

  • Member, Federal House of Representatives, 2012 to 2015
  • Former Director General, National Centre for Women Development
  • PhD, S.I. Newhouse School, Syracuse University; certificate in Gerontology
  • 15 years as a broadcaster with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria

Quarterpast 65 is an initiative of Ayamara Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation in Abuja. The Foundation works for orphans, widows, the elderly, women and the girl child, and persons with disabilities, through education, healthcare, empowerment and humanitarian support.
